Here at Edendale, we recognise the importance that the Arts play in the lives of our tamariki and our community. We know that engaging with art is essential to the human experience; as soon as motor skills are developed, children communicate through artistic expression.
What Art continuously shows us is that it is a constant in our lives, our cultures and the world. It has always been there to assist us to beautify a space, convey a message to express ourselves and tell a story.
We encourage our tamariki to explore their creativity under the guidance of our specialist art teacher Kus. Ākonga can focus on enjoyable aspects of creativity whilst introducing and learning practical processes and hands-on techniques in a nurturing, positive and fun environment.
