GROWING CURIOUS, LIFELONG EXCITED LEARNERS
Edendale Primary School welcomes international students to be part of our school community. We know you will have a wonderful experience at our school. We will celebrate with you as your confidence in using English progress and achievement in speaking, listening reading and writing English improves. You will enjoy meeting our children, making friends with them, and share learning together.
We offer education through learning in authentic contexts. Our goal is to equip our Year 1 – 6 students with 21st-century skills and the ability to think about problems critically and creatively. Learning through play, inquiry learning, specialist teachers in Music and Art, and our Garden to Table programme combine to deliver a real breadth and depth of learning opportunities. This lets students think, learn, and create in a fun, friendly, inclusive environment with strong community connections.
Students work together and take on leadership roles as they learn through play and participate in our school house system and the schoolwide environmental programme.
The school received a positive Education Review Office Report in 2019, and we have a well-resourced school in terms of facilities, equipment and personnel. You may view the latest ERO report here (https://ero.govt.nz/institution/1265/edendale-school-auckland).

Complaints and concerns
Students and parents may experience problems and difficulties in adjusting to life in New Zealand. The International Dean will first address any problems. If you need further help, please contact the Principal. If you are still not satisfied, you may address a complaint to the board of trustees.
If the school has not adequately addressed your complaint, the Education (Pastoral Care of International Students) Code of Practice 2016 has processes in place to lodge a complaint external to the school.
