Growing curious, lifelong, excited learners

At Edendale we offer a holistic education, delivered through learning in authentic contexts.
The goal is to equip our ākonga across years one to six with 21st century skills and the ability to think about problems critically and creatively.
Learning through play, inquiry learning, specialist kaiako in Music and Art, and our Garden to Table programme combine to deliver a real breadth and depth of learning opportunities for our tamariki. This lets ākonga think, learn, and create in a fun, friendly, inclusive environment with strong community connections.

SCHOOL CLOSED Thursday 16th March [next week]

Fri Mar 10 11:47am

Kia ora koutou,

Primary school principals and teachers who belong to NZEI have voted to participate in industrial action on Thursday 16 March. They will join their area school colleagues and teachers and kindergartens alongside PPTA secondary school teachers in holding joint action across Aotearoa New Zealand.

This means that Edendale Primary School will not be able open as we will not have enough staff to make for a safe environment. Edendale will be CLOSED on Thursday 16th. Kelly club will be running a program to support and further details will come out later from them.

WEATHER UPDATE 10/02/2023

Fri Feb 10 03:22pm

Kia ora koutou, as you know we are expecting more bad weather in Auckland late this weekend and into early next week.  We hope that you all are not impacted by this event as we know from the previous event some of you have had a lot to deal with.

The Ministry of Education [MoE] has advised that at this stage it would be the Board that would make the call around closure. Currently, we plan to open Monday and will wait for instruction from the MoE as to whether they direct schools to close across the region.  This directive may come late or after the media like last time.

At this stage, we are planning to open on Monday, but please keep an eye on Seesaw, the App, and the school email.

Stay well, stay safe, and be kind.
